On Oneness

The sun shows us each day that to give virtuously means to give without prejudice, discrimination or expectation.

The way we give really reveals our comprehension of Oneness. When we are willing to give to some but not to others, we are giving from our ego - our separate self. We are giving through prejudice. Oneness does not discriminate between this person or that person, between this cell in the body and that cell. Within your body, all energy is prioritised so that every cell receives what it needs to survive. In a healthy universe, we humans (the cells) would act in the same manner.

The clearest example of this giving limitation in society is the way many approach those who are homeless, especially those with addictions and mental health issues. Judgment often coming from the misbelief there are good and bad people and that people choose to be bad.

Ultimately, it is not our role to judge whether or not someone is good or bad. If we aren’t willing to pick up our fallen brothers and sisters then there are still aspects of the self we judge or deny. Humans are pieces of a huge energetic ecosystem that is completely interconnected.

Every single thought you have impacts everyone else here. If it were more physically obvious to our senses we would take a lot more care with our thoughts, our words and our actions.

Today, why not make the intention to give to someone in need. It could just be a part of yourself in need you simply haven’t been able to witness.
